Bread Matters are running a two-day course on gluten free baking next July. As well as learning how to bake bread, cakes, pastries, pizza and biscuits, course attendees get to have a three-course evening meal in the Village Bakery restaurant.
Sadly, accommodation is not provided, but there is bound to be somewhere good to stay near Melmerby, near the Lake District.
Honeybuns, who make wonderful gluten free cakes, also offer gluten free baking courses, though these are being reorganised for next year (2007) and will include some children’s baking courses too – great idea! Honeybuns are of course in Dorset – so right at the other end of the country.
