Now here’s an interesting idea for the various coeliac groups around – a gluten free cookie swap.
An American group in Worcester have an annual swap – everybody who brings in two dozen gluten free cookies gets to take away two dozen gluten free cookies made by someone else.
This is interesting because you’d not only get a different flavour of cookie – unless everyone made chocolate chip – but it might have been made using a different brand of mix. I’d suggest that the recipe would have to go with the cookies, so that the person ending up with the cookies could reproduce them if they were good.
Two dozen cookies also sounds like quite a lot, but it is probably one batch, if you made smallish ones.
I’ve written a book summarising what we’ve learnt over 20 years of dealing with the gluten free diet, and it might be just what you’re looking for. It packs the lessons we’ve learned into what I hope is a helpful and straightforward guidebook. It’s available on Amazon, as a paperback or for your Kindle… |

I think having a cookie exchange would be fun.

Ooh Kat – I’ve just followed your link to your cooking site! I’m bookmarking this, and will set the children to baking during the Christmas holidays. Glad to see that some of the recipes are also egg-free (we’re fine with eggs, but I see a surprising number of questions asking for this).
