When Sana Malik was diagnosed as a coeliac, her family rallied round, developed a range of gluten free snacks for her, and are now selling these snacks to coeliacs across the northwest of the UK. What is more, they’ve just won an award for the Most Innovative Product at the Food Northwest Awards.
These snacks include samosas and spring rolls, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and available through the East Lancashire Coeliac Society, as well as in various shops in the area. Butterfly Snacks are now in talks with food chains and the NHS. The NHS! Perhaps Butterfly Snacks will be available for coeliacs needing hospital meals?
